Robotech. Hearing the intro music from the kickstarter video brought back a torrent of nostalgic memories from childhood. I had spent a large portion of my childhood fantasizing about giant transformable mecha and have great memories of the awesome time spent playing the Robotech RPG with my friends back in high school. This kickstarter has definitely piqued my attention since day one.

I didn't plunge right in off the bat mainly because I felt that the pricing was pretty steep for the rewards offering. The Battlecry pledge level initially consisted of only about 42 miniatures and the asking price was USD$140 not counting the USD$30 international shipping cost.

However, the sheer amount of robotech fans and support from the miniature gaming community has enabled the kickstarter to break through so many stretch goals over the last few weeks that the same Battlecry offering turned into a not-to-be-missed deal. At this point in time, we are looking at 75 miniatures at come with the Battlecry pledge, and that is nearly twice the amount of the initial reward!

And thats to say nothing the amazing add-on items (which I just couldn't say no to), such as miniatures of the Super Veritech, female powered armour & the humongous MAC II Monster!
